In signing the Code of Honor, I fully recognize that Cornerstone Christian Academy, (CCA), was founded to be, and is committed to being, a Christian ministry that promotes a life-style of commitment to Jesus Christ of Nazareth as personal Savior and Lord. It is therefore, my personal commitment to be a person of integrity in attitude and behavior in upholding the standards of CCA. I recognize that my life will, for better or worse, represent the Academy to all who witness my lifestyle and actions. To this end I pledge:
1. to apply myself wholeheartedly to my intellectual pursuits and to use the full powers of my mind for the glory of God.
2. to grow in my spirit in developing my own relationship with God.
3. to develop my body with sound health habits through the required physical education program and by participating in wholesome physical activities.
4. to cultivate good relationships, socially, and to seek to love others as I love myself. I will not lie, I will not steal, I will not curse nor swear and I will not be a talebearer. When I have a dispute with any other person, I will follow the Lord's teaching in Matthew 18:15, to restore a right relationship with that person. I will not draw others into disputes I have with a person. I will keep the issues between myself and that person, not trying to get others to side with me. If I need help resolving an issue with another person, I will seek the help of a teacher or other adult.
5. to keep my total being under subjection from all immoral and illegal acts and habits, whether on or off campus. To this end, I will not use any illegal drugs or any tobacco products. I will not be involved in any sexual activities nor be part of discussions of such things, including heterosexual and homosexual topics. I will not use alcohol or engage in any other behavior which is contrary to the expectations stated in the Bible or the school manual.
6. to guard my tongue from any ungodly conversation and to make every effort to speak with peace, calm and truth at all times.
7. to maintain an openness to God's claims on my life and to do my utmost to know and follow His will for my life.
8. to attend all classes, all required chapel services, on and off campus, and to attend the house of worship of my choice, wherever God is honored and exalted.
9. to abide by the rules and regulations which may, from time to time, be adopted by the school administration. I understand that CCA is a private school and that I have no rights in the governing of the school. I accept my attendance at CCA as a privilege, not as a right, and understand that the school reserves the right to require the withdrawal of any student, at any time, if, in the judgment of the administration, such action is deemed necessary to safeguard CCA's ideals of scholarship or the spiritual and moral atmosphere as a Christian high school.
The code of honor deals with your pledge for future behavior. The second half of the pledge deals with recent or current behavior. We have found that, often, during the interview for school we are not given information that will help us in our task of teaching. In order to best meet the needs of our students, we need to know about their behavior, choices and character. In order to meet this need, we require honest, complete answers to all of the following questions. We realize that you may have changed your thoughts recently and that some behaviors may have changed. Never- the-less, the completion of these questions will help us assess your needs. As a caution, should we, at any time, discover that you have been less than completely truthful with your answers, you will be subject to immediate dismissal from school.
All of our expectations include your time in school, at home, and out with friends. We cannot compartmentalize your behavior to depend upon various settings. We can, and will uphold our standards for students inside and outside of school. If you engage in inappropriate behavior outside of school, we can and will hold you accountable and issue appropriate discipline.
Please answer all of the following questions honestly. Failure to answer them or giving false answers may result in dismissal from Cornerstone Christian Academy.

It is my desire and pledge to keep the HONOR CODE carefully and prayerfully. I acknowledge the need of help from my family, church, teachers and friends in order to keep my life pure. To that end, I pledge to accept correction and discipline with a good spirit. I understand that my signature below is my acceptance of the entire Code of Honor and completes a covenant between CCA and myself, and that it becomes a part of my permanent school file.

I affirm that, to the best of my knowledge, my child has answered honestly and fully. There has been no effort to hide information. I agree that the HONOR CODE represents a Godly standard that my child must uphold. I further agree to help my child uphold this code and to help the school enforce it.
